About Loran

Loran Founders

A showroom sells you boxes. Loran sells you a point of view.

Most cabinetry experiences start the same way: you walk into a showroom, you’re shown rows of doors and finishes with no design thinking behind them, and you leave more overwhelmed than when you arrived. You go home with a quote and a decision you’re not ready to make.

Loran was built because that process doesn’t work and because a kitchen designed as a complete system produces a fundamentally different result than one assembled from parts.

Loran was founded by Victoria Armour and Natalie Owens of Stil James, an interior design studio with nearly a decade of kitchen design behind it. We built Loran because we kept seeing the same problem: clients making cabinetry decisions in isolation from the layout, the stone, the lighting, and the flow- and ending up with a kitchen that functioned, but never quite felt right.

When everything is designed together from the start- proportions, storage, materials, and cabinetry as one complete system, the result is different. You can feel it the moment you walk in. That’s what we’re building for you.

How Are We Different?

Designer-led from day one

Every Loran kitchen is developed by a designer, not a showroom floor. Layout, function, and cabinetry are designed together — not decided separately.

A kitchen built as one system

Cabinetry, stone, hardware, and lighting are developed in conversation with each other. The cohesion you feel in the finished result isn’t an accident — it’s the design doing its job.

Canadian-made & built to last

Built in Canada using quality materials. Delivered fully assembled so installation is clean and the result is exactly what was designed.

One team, no handoffs

From first call to final install, you work with one team. Design, procurement, production, and delivery — coordinated for you, not by you.
